About the Role The HSEC Systems Specialist is responsible for overseeing the group’s Health, Safety, Sustainability and Compliance systems and assurance. The HSEC Systems Specialist is responsible for leading the group’s Health, Safety, Sustainability and Compliance management systems and electronic platforms. The role provides expert assurance and verification that the systems, processes and controls are effective, compliant and embedded across all operations. Key Accountabilities: Lead the standardisation of SHMS’ across the group. Develop and execute a verification program for the group’s conformance with HSTW minimum standards and support sites to reach (and maintain) conformance. Establish the group’s HSTW audit and verification program (including CCV verification, safety leadership verification, internal and external audit plan). Coordinate and support external audits (including the annual CMO audits), regulatory inspections and third-party assurance activities. Plan and deliver safety assurance activities, including internal audits, inspections, system reviews and verification programs. At the group level, manage and improve the overarching function of group HSTW electronic platforms such as Intelex, Avetta and SharePoint. Compile group level HSTW data and reports. Develop group level HSTW guidance documents. Develop group HSTW calendar (including statutory reporting dates and responsibilities) Establish the group compliance system for HSTW and Environment. Assess the effectiveness of critical safety controls and risk management processes. Track, report and verify the close-out of audit findings, corrective actions and improvement opportunities. Ensure SHMS documentation, procedures and standards are current, fit-for-purpose and consistently applied across the business. Support operational leaders and teams to effectively implement SHMS requirements. Monitor system performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives based on data, trends and assurance outcomes. About you The successful candidate will have the following: Relevant tertiary qualifications (Health, Safety or Environment). Lead Auditor Qualifications. Compliance risk and governance system experience. Strong Queensland Coal SHMS experience. Strong audit and verification experience. Critical control and verification expertise. Various electronic HSEC system experience. HSEC reporting, incident management and workforce management platform experience (such as Intelex, Avetta, SharePoint, GRC, Site Safe etc).
